My First Day of Eighth Grade
On my first day of eighth grade, I woke up feeling nervous. After all, it was the start of a new school year and I wasn’t sure what to expect. I got dressed and ate breakfast quickly before rushing out the door to catch the bus. When I arrived at school, I saw familiar faces from last year, but also some new faces that I didn’t recognize.
Meeting My Teachers
The first thing I did was attend my homeroom class. I was happy to see that my homeroom teacher was one of my favorite teachers from last year. She made us feel welcome with a warm smile and a friendly greeting. Next, I met my new teachers for each subject. They introduced themselves and talked a little bit about what they expected of us for the year. I tried to pay attention and take notes, but I was still feeling a little bit nervous.
Connecting With Friends
During my breaks between classes, I caught up with my friends from last year. We talked about our summers and what we did during our break. It was nice to see that everything felt familiar, even if it was the start of a new school year. As the day went on, I started to feel less nervous and more excited for the year ahead.
A New Beginning
Overall, my first day of eighth grade was a success. I met my teachers, caught up with my friends, and learned some new things about what the year had in store. It was a new beginning, and I was ready to make the most of it.
