My Experience in English Unit 6
During English Unit 6, I had a great time learning new vocabulary. We learned words related to different hobbies and interests such as surfing, dancing and painting. It was exciting to learn new words that I could use to describe my own hobbies. I also found it helpful to learn collocations, or words that are often used together. For example, I learned that we “go surfing” instead of “do surfing”.
One of the highlights of English Unit 6 was the speaking practice. Every day, we had the chance to practice speaking English with a partner. At first, it was a little intimidating, but as we practiced more, I became more comfortable speaking in front of my classmates. I also learned how to ask and answer questions about hobbies and interests, which helped me communicate better with others in English. I’m grateful for the speaking practice because it gave me the confidence to use what I learned in class outside of school.
In English Unit 6, we also learned how to write descriptions of hobbies and interests. This was challenging for me at first because I had to think carefully about the vocabulary I used and the structure of my sentences. However, with the help of my teacher and practice, I was able to improve my writing. I learned how to use descriptive words to make my writing more interesting and how to organize my ideas in a logical way.
In conclusion, English Unit 6 was a fun and educational experience for me. I learned new vocabulary, improved my speaking skills, and gained confidence in my writing abilities. I’m excited to continue practicing and using these skills as I continue to learn English.
